Privacy. What we collect, and why.

Driftwood Club collects very little: what you choose to send us, and nothing else. Last updated October 8, 2026.

Who we are

This site is run by Driftwood Club (“we”). Questions about this page, or about your data, go to hello@driftwoodclub.com.

What we collect

The join form

When you send the form on the Community page, we receive what you type: your name, email address, role, company type, and your note. We use it to read your note, reply, make introductions you agree to, and send the weekly brief.

Reader ratings

Power Briefs and Market Reads have an optional rating (one to three bolts) with an optional comment. If you send one, we receive the rating, your comment if you wrote one, and which post it was for. We use it to make the writing better. Ratings do not ask for your name or email.

Stored in your browser

After you rate a post, your browser remembers that rating in its local storage so you are not asked twice. It stays on your device; we cannot read it. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

What we do not collect

We set no cookies, run no analytics or advertising trackers, and load no third-party scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site.

Who handles it

  • Formspree receives join-form and rating submissions and forwards them to us by email. It stores submissions under its own privacy policy.
  • Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host, it processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it for advertising. We do not add you to anything you did not ask for. We never introduce you to another member without your agreement.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep join-form details while you are part of the community, and rating comments for as long as they help us improve the writing. To see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, or to stop receiving the brief, email hello@driftwoodclub.com. We will delete it from our records and ask our form provider to do the same.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, we will update this page and the date above first. See also our Terms.
